Core Training
It is crucial that all members begin with our Core Training Program. This program is designed to teach basic forms, sparring, and self-defense. Students will learn the fundamentals that will prepare their mind and body for when they are ready for their advanced training. They must also begin to understand life skills such as goal setting, respect, discipline and perseverance.
Teeny Tigers (ages 3 and 4)
The Teeny Tiger program was developed specifically for preschool age children ages 3 and 4. This program offers children a strong foundation in essential character qualities such as courtesy, respect, and discipline. In addition, the program is designed to improve children's motor skills and enhance their ability to pay attention and follow directions. All classes are taught using the most safe, fun, and exciting instruction methods available for this age group. This program works in conjunction with the Little Dragons program, thereby emphasizing the same important monthly themes and value system.
Little Dragons (ages 5–12)
There are many reasons for kids to become involved in the Martial Arts. We have developed a program based on traditional Taekwondo for kids called Little Dragons. The Little Dragons program teaches life skills and positive values as well as martial arts movements.
Black Belt Success (BBS)
In today's world, leadership skills are crucial tools for success at home, in the community, at school and in the workplace. Our Black Belt Success Program helps to develop leadership skills, gives students the opportunity to take on leadership roles in class and builds self-confidence among children and adults.
Students in the Black Belt Success Program focus extensively on Life Skills such as knowledge, humility, vision, discipline, passion and empathy. Class discussions help students to understand the meaning of these life skills and how they apply at home, at school and in their communities.
The Black Belt Success Program also offers students advanced training in weapons and self-defense.
Our Junior Leadership Program gives students enhanced responsibility in class and teaches them to be positive role models both at the Taekwondo dojahng and at school. Students explore the behaviors that exemplify good leadership and develop confidence and public speaking skills by giving oral reports on life skills related to leadership. They learn to set an example for others in class, to help mentor junior-ranked students, and to take on a variety of leadership roles at the Taekwondo dojahng. Additionally, they work with weapons such as the double nunchaku, double escrima sticks, kama and long staff. Finally, they practice advanced self-defense applications using groundfighting techniques, joint manipulation and pressure point control tactics.
Our Leadership Program for Teens & Adults emphasizes advanced self-defense and weapons skills. We supplement traditional Taekwondo training with instruction in groundfighting, boxing, pressure points, joint manipulation and other practical self-defense approaches. We also train with weapons like the double nunchaku, double escrima sticks, kama and long staff. Additionally, students in the Adult Black Belt Success Program develop leadership skills that are useful in school and in the workplace, and they have the opportunity to become nationally-certified Taekwondo instructors.
